A second home to Urban Kids
A contemporary childcare center situated in a residential community this design had many challenges to keep the character of the streetscape while ensuring it met the highest industry standards and led the market for early learning. The finished result is a welcoming open and bright early learning centre that promotes the very best in leading technology. The centre includes multiple zones with Trans Space doors to provide maximum flexibility, and includes a technology room to help facilitate learning.

A home away from home for the little ones
Designed to replicate a natural home environment this center is built like a house, very spacious with multi-functional areas, including a computer wing. The owners used innovative materials such as Autex (similar to carpet) on walls so the children could display their art works. The exterior is low maintenance and easy to clean with Palisade cladding, great if a child has an unplanned artistic moment and draws on a wall. The hustle and bustle of a busy child care centre can be full of noise so the home is fitted with sound proof ceiling tiles to soften this. Childcare centres are planned with exacting safety standards and take careful planning and consideration through all stages of the design and build to meet these.

The bay gets a taste of something very 'Good'!
Good things happen with hard work and passion, just look at the Good Food trading Company. You may have seen or visited this gorgeous new foodie store in MacDonald Street, it is an inspiration to those who love the best of fresh local produce and national artisan products. Jo and Jamie Blennerhassett have really pushed the boundaries and dared to do what so many only think about, and we have been working with them through their journey.
It has been a labour of love for everyone involved. As main contractor we were charged with overseeing the construction of the Bay Design plans, and working alongside many suppliers and subcontractors the final building is a testament to Jo & Jamie vision. The interiors were done by Sally Lines of Urban Lounge and really work with the heartfelt brand Jo and Jamie have had created by their marketing company.
For us the project was a great commercial project and we are thrilled for them. They have opened to rave reviews and are fast becoming the Bay's No 1 foodie destination. Congrats.
