Gavin Morrow

I grew up at the Mount and consider myself a true local. I’ve always had a passion for construction and building. Even as a kid I was interested in how things were put together.

After qualifying as a builder in New Zealand, I headed to London for the traditional OE. Working on high-end homes and getting exposure to European finishes and construction processes really sharpened my eye for detail and striving for perfection became second nature.

Returning to NZ I joined forces with Aaron and Pete to establish Thorne Group. I thrive on being immersed in a project, finding solutions to challenging details. There’s nothing more satisfying than figuring out a tricky problem and ending up with an outcome that creates a genuine ‘wow’ factor for the client.

Living at the Mount with my wife Karlie and our two teenage children I get to enjoy my other passion, fishing, fishing and more fishing.
