Dad was always involved in property development, and I think that is where my passion for construction really began.
Prior to starting Thorne Group, I worked on numerous development projects. This often involved dealing with extreme geotechnical conditions, providing insights into planning, compliance and design considerations. I enjoy being able to pass on that experience and help people recognise both the opportunities and challenges their particular site presents.
As I grew in the art of project management, thinking ten steps ahead became second nature. It was the number of people approaching us to manage their builds that ultimately led to Thorne Group being established, together with Gavin and my brother-in-law Pete.
I am a proud Mount local, where I live with my wife Sarah, and our two sons. I am very proud of what we have created at Thorne Group and how the company has evolved over the years. In what little spare time I have, there is nothing I enjoy more than getting out on the water for a fish.
